Injections of Botulinum Toxin A (commonly referred to as ‘botox’) relax facial muscles thus smoothing fine lines and wrinkles.

This leads to a smoother, fresher and more rejuvenated appearance. The most commonly treated areas are the horizontal forehead lines, frown lines and crows feet.

​

It can also be used for specialist areas such as to correct a gummy smile, bunny lines, masseteric hypertrophy, peri-oral lines and downturned corners of the mouth.

Results develop gradually over a few days and take around 2 weeks to reach their full effect. Treatment lasts on average 3-4 months with successive treatments increasing the duration of effect.

The most commonly treated area is the armpits. Excessive sweating, although common, can cause embarrassment and distress. Injections of botulinum toxin into the underarms works by blocking the signals from the nerve endings to the sweat glands. This treatment enables you to feel confident and relaxed day to day, and is great for important events too. Results are noticeable within 2-4 days of treatments with the full effect reached at 2 weeks. The duration of dryness varies between clients, from 4 to 12 months.
